The best use of time

It occurred to me today that I don't always make the best use of my time! When it seems to be marching on, speeding up in fact, this day, this hour is very important! I so wanted to stay home and nap because of such a busy week-end but we had a total of three important things to do today, two of which involved extended family.
Will you pray with me that I make the best possible use of time. Pray that I would value what the Lord God values! People are important!
Hey! my support level is up to $5000 almost!!!! This is such an answer to prayer!! Thank you!
Do you have anything I could be praying about for you?

Fixed in Trust on God

I read this this week. The literal translation of Heb. 2:13 is (Jesus speaking) "I will be fixed in trust in Him."

It was in the context of John 17 that records Jesus prayer to His Father just before He is betrayed. Jesus prays with /for the disciples and future believers (that's you and me.) The notes I read on this said that Jesus THE Author and Finisher of our faith had this "fixed trust" on God His Father to see Him through to the end, past the cruel cross, His atoning death and resurrection ......to the point in His life where He could say......."It is Finished."

I just love that phrase! To be "fixed in trust" to me means to place my measely, pinpoint of faith on THE ONE AND ONLY SOVEREIGN GOD. It means be "fixated" on Him.

The notes, and I'm quoting here say it like this: ......"it gives some idea of the determined choice and the battle of faith that Jesus fought when He overcame on the Cross." ......And another quote: "Jesus prayed for His beloved disciples that they might overcome through this same quality of faith."

I'm not sure if this is making all that much sense for you but I've been thinking a lot about "faith"moving forward on things with full assurance that it is a part of the plan of God. The faith I'm thinking about it is not so much a "quantity" issue as a "quality' thing.

James 1:5-8 speaks to a quality of faith when one prays..."a fixed in trust" on Him type.
If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given him. but when he asks, he must believe and not doubt because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man , unstable in all he does."

There is a picture from my past that I've been thinking about this week and it's a guy carrying a bag that says "faith' on it. The bag is huge but the guy is on THIN ICE!!!!!The next picture is of the guy, his bag that says faith on it is tiny, BUT! where he is walking the ice is really, really thick. This has so helped me to see it's not about MY (volumes of) anything! It's about Him, the object of what measly trust I may have at any given moment.....as long as it is FIXED on HIM!

Today at work, while cleaning the bathroom counter of a dear christian lady, I happen to look at her verse for the day ......It was Matt. 17:20..."I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move...." That verse was for me! AND she had had it flipped to a day ahead (April 2)! In my heart I knew that this verse was just for me from my Savior!

He encourages me daily through His words.
Thank you for praying!

May our eyes be on our Father, His character, His Power, Sovereignty, Majesty..... FIXED IN TRUST! ALWAYS!
