Rwanda2010

This is my practice session for blogging. I'm sitting at my little keyboard and trying not to mess it up....well push the wrong thing and find everything has disappeared!
I long to be a good, interesting blogger but I must tell you I have an ulterior motive. I want you to be praying! These days of prep for this next trip to Rwanda are going fast, that's a little scary! But only because I really want to be put to good use by the Lord and not be as my husband would put it in old navy terms, not be just a "skater" which means just getting by (in life.)
There will be so many opportunities to share the Word of God, to teach kids, encourage women and others.....and I'd love to be ready for each opportunity, wholeheartedly trusting God, all for His glory!
Last year a missionary named Steve went with us and introduced a Bible study series that was written for tribal people.....well, ALL peoples! It is a study that's a little like laying out basic bricks of truth, of the historical record......The Bible as it is in order....you know, Genesis first! including the character of God, the intro of sin into the world and what that meant/means now too.....then on to God's solution to the sin problem......story by story from the OT. to the cross.
How wonderful it is to know THE LAMB of God and know His provision for MY sin problem has been taken care of once on that cross. You too?
I'm taking over these lessons with the supplemental Big pics that are laminated, durable The plan is to hang them on a clothes line as I go through...showing where the stories fit in time/history.
You could read the reviews about them if you'd like. I think any ministry would benefit from this series. Homeschoolers too could use the children's version. It's from NTM.com (New Tribes Mission store)
Also, I'm studying the book by John Cross, Stranger on the Road to Emmaus ,GoodSeed publishers. It will help me to get better at word choice for translating to Ikinrwanda.
Could you please pray about things with me?
